This project started with the aim of building a sturdy and modern looking table from 2 standard sheets of 2440x1220x18mm (8×4 feet x 3/4 inch) plywood. I used inexpensive pine plywood, but you can also use birch plywood if you are after a better finish and higher quality end result. The table will comfortably seat 8 people and is 2200mm long x 1000mm wide x 730mm high. *Build plan dimensions are given in millimetres.
